Westwind yearbook staff awarded Pacemaker

The Westwind yearbook staff received a Pacemaker award for its 2011 book at the National Scholastic Press Association in Seattle, Wash. This places the book, themed ‘Think Fast’, in the top 34 high school yearbooks in the country. Editors-in-chief of the publication were Krista Van Giesen, Lydia McCall and Carly Owenby. The staff was honored at the Henderson County School Board meeting on April 16.

The Wingspan newspaper received a Pacemaker in the fall at the National Scholastic Press Association in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
