On Wednesday, October 6th the West Henderson High School Falcon Volleyball team beat the Brevard Blue Devil with a match score of 3-0.

“I was a tiny bit nervous for this game because of last week’s loss against Brevard,” junior Kailyn Robinson said. “But I was confident that we were going to come back and beat them in the end and win together as a team.”

The ladies had a clean sweep of sets in the match, winning the first set 25-20, the second 25-17, and the third 25-19. This game we replaced senior Amber Huard with junior Mia Christ, in the libero position. 

“I’m excited we could make a comeback from the last game played against Brevard since they are such a tough opponent,” junior Jennifer MacNamara said. “The student section hyped me up and I am super proud of my teammates. We have worked really well together this year.”

The Falcons went into this game leading the Western Mountain 3A Conference, being 15-3 on the season and 10-0 in the conference. The Blue Devils are ranked first within their conference with a record of 10-4 in the season and 7-1 in the conference.

The Junior Varsity Team also won their game 2-0. The score of the first set being 25-15, and the score for the second set being 25-18. 

The Falcons face off against the Hendersonville Bearcats in an away, non conference game on Oct. 11.
