Working as a teenager is a stepping stone in every persons’ life. Although many teens are different, most will admit that working a job has a good impact on their lifestyle. In David Bass’ article ‘9 Benefits of Work for Teens and Young Adults,’ he expands on the benefits of having a job, these benefits include: learning soft skills, time management, respect for supervisors, following instructions, being reliable, demonstrating an upbeat attitude, dressing appropriately, accepting constructive criticism, and most importantly, earning money.
However, some will argue that the best thing about working is: working together.
Hand-selected from West Henderson, in two pairs were: Noelle Houlihan and Brooke Dudzinski then Seth Buttry and Roscoe Greene. The survey we presented them with consisted of six questions. The questions’ purpose were to discover whether or not working is better alone or together:
- Why did you choose to work here?
- What do you like about your job?
- Who followed who into the job?
- What are the best aspects of working with a friend? This can be multiple.
- Did your teamwork/ people skills improve on the job?
- If ______ didn’t work with you, would you still be at that job right now?
