On May 2nd, 2023, students take the stand as they run for student government offices at West. Out of 13 speeches, two were for student body President by candidates Naomi Cannon and Trey Whitaker. Proceeding with Student Body president speeches, Senior class president and vice president candidates Karla QuirozEstrada and William Robinson take the stage. Junior class president and vice president candidates were then asked to take a stand as current sophomores Carson Cathey to run for president and Melea Humiston as vice president. Though with no competing opponent, Amerie Delfin delivers her speech to fulfill her student body social media manager position. Rising Sophomores gave the last speeches to finish the campaign with candidates Sutton Hughes, JJ Moreno, and Brady Merrill all in hopes of fulfilling Sophmore class body president.
