The West Henderson football team travels to take on Tuscola this Friday on their home turf.
The Falcons are currently sitting at 0-4 and 0-3 in conference play. Last week they lost to T.C Roberson with a score of 62-20. Sophomore quarterback Lukas Kachilo threw for a season high 199 yards and a touchdown, as well as running one in himself. Freshman Truitt Manuel ended the game with 83 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Tuscola has the same record as West. They are coming off of a 49-21 loss last week to Erwin. Senior Garrett Fox rushed for 135 yards and a touchdown.
The Falcons offense looked like it had improved in last week’s game, especially in the pass. Coming into the game against a Tuscola defense who has allowed 34 points per game, the Falcons should look to get the offense going early.
Tuscola has also been known to be a run heavy offense, averaging 30 rush attempts per game. The Falcons defense has been spotty against the run, giving up around 170 rushing yards per game.
With both teams looking to grab their first win of the year, the game should be a battle. Tune into the game at 7 pm this Friday on NFHS sports network.
