The West Henderson volleyball team went up against Watauga High on Thursday Jan. 14. The Lady Falcons traveled to Watauga’s home court for the second game of the playoffs.
West started the game off scoring a quick first point. Watauga closed the gap and quickly took the lead. The first set ended with Watauga being up 25 to 20.
The second set started with Watauga’s serve and point. West, in the opposite of the first set, took the lead after Watauga held it in the very start. Watauga then tied the game back up at 22 each but West took the momentum back to finish the set. The second set finished with West being up at a score of 25 to 22.
The third set started off once again with West taking the first point and holding the lead through the set. West took the third set with a score of 25 to 18.
The fourth started with Watauga scoring first and taking the whole set, finishing it with a score of 23 to 25.
West started with the ball for the fifth and final set of the game, and took the first point. Watauga then took the lead.. West came up to take it back at 13 to 12. The game finished when West dropped the ball into Watauga’s court, finishing with the score 15 to 13.
The game finished with a set score of 3 to 2 as a win for the Lady Falcons. Their next game is on Saturday Jan. 16 at Cox Mill High.
