ScHoolboy Q- Floating (Featuring 21 Savage)
ScHoolboy Q has finally released a new album, “CrasH Talk,” after almost three years, and the album is definitely worth the wait. The production of every single song is phenomenal, especially this song in particular. It was hard to choose just one favorite to put on here, but between the chorus, both verses from ScHoolboy Q and 21 Savage and the beat, I have to recommend this one above the others.
French Montana- Slide (Featuring Blueface and Lil Tjay)
This song honestly surprised my expectations. I like French Montana, but I’ve never heard of Lil Tjay and I am not a big fan of Blueface. The upbeat vibe and rhythm of this song fit perfectly with the chorus from French Montana and Lil Tjay. I felt the small beat change in the middle was unnecessary, especially to go and change it right back and Blueface’s verse was underwhelming. That doesn’t change the fact that this is one of the best songs to bump to in the car with your friends.
SZA, The Weeknd and Travis Scott- Power Is Power
This song is a part of the season eight Game of Thrones soundtrack, “For the Throne.” Typically, I’m a little skeptical about movie or TV soundtracks, but this song has a star-studded cast. The combination of these three artists couldn’t make a bad song even if they tried.
Anderson .Paak- Twilight
Anderson .Paak never ceases to amaze me. This song comes from his album “Ventura,” which was released on April 12. Something about his raspy voice is so soothing and the music he uses in this song is different and more instrumental than any other R&B artist. I can picture myself driving down an open road with the windows down listening to this song.
YG- Stop Snitchin
YG is gearing up for his new album dropping May 3 by releasing this new single. I don’t believe it’s some of his best work; however, it’s still a song you can bump to with the strong flow he puts into his chorus. This song has me looking forward to his new music releasing soon.
