Red and yellow Bojangles’ cups and bags have been a common sight around campus since the famous chicken and biscuits restaurant brought “Bo Time” to the Naples area more than five years ago.
In a month or so, they may become more common as students who live in Mills River will drive right by the newest Bojangles’ on their way to school. Construction on the fast food restaurant on Boylston Highway across from Ingles began earlier this fall.
Mills River City Manager John Wells said town officials approved the plans for the restaurant back in September.
“They hope to be done by or before Christmas,” Wells said. “Bojangles’ approached a property owner in the town with interest in being here in the town.”
The new restaurant will employ 40 to 45 people, according to news sources. Prospective employees can go to bofanatics.com to complete an application. Individuals must be 16 to apply.
Students in the mills river area are excited about the new restaurant going up.
“I love Bojangles’,”said Junior Hunter Barnett. “I think this new location will be good for the community and help make it grow.”
