The 2016 Junior-Senior Prom will be held Saturday, May 7, at 7 p.m. in the Crest Center’s Pavilion at 22 Celebration Place, Asheville.
This year’s theme will be “Hollywood Puttin’ on the Ritz.” Tickets will be approximately $65. In keeping with the theme, there will be a red carpet, gourmet appetizers and a wide variety of beverages, including a “mock”tail bar.
“One of the good things about prom is that we have food and drinks,” Teresa Davis, the faculty adviser for the prom, said. “So people don’t feel like they have to spend a lot of money at restaurants.”
Applications for guests will be available in the middle of March and will be due before spring break to be reviewed by the administrators.
If juniors sold six magazines or more, they are eligible for a reduced price ticket to prom in their senior year. If they sold eight magazines, juniors will get free tickets in their senior year.
“It’ll be a really fun time to see what we’ve been planning for so long actually become a reality,” junior prom committee member Sam Staton said.
