Taser troubles
Two police shootings were reported by the media this week. The first was the case of Walter Scott, an unarmed black man who was shot repeatedly in the back by Officer Michael Thomas Slager. Slager was charged with murder for the incident. He claims he shot Scott because he feared for his life because Scott stole his Taser.
The other shooting was of Eric Courtney Harris, a 44-year-old black man. He was shot by Robert Bates, a 73-year-old white “pay-to-play” volunteer cop. Bates claims he meant to reach for his Taser. After being shot, Eric Harris apparently claimed he had trouble breathing. Bates is being charged with second degree manslaughter.

A new teaser trailer for the upcoming film, Star Wars Ep.VII, was revealed at the Star Wars Celebration at the Anaheim Convention Center in California. This trailer was quite a surprise as fans weren’t expecting another trailer until the release of Avengers: Age of Ultron. No complaints here, though. This trailer is exactly what fans want from the new Star Wars. New villains, old heroes returning and an original story. With this new movie, every generation will get a chance to experience the goodness of the epic Star Wars saga.
