Pebble’s Playlist: Spring Break

Khalid- Right Back

This song comes from rising star Khalid’s new album Free Spirit. This song is more upbeat than most of the other songs on the album. With summer around the corner, this song is perfect to roll down the windows to and cruise in the hot summer air.

Lil Nas X- Old Town Remix (Featuring Billy Ray Cyrus)

I’m guessing no one has ever heard of Lil Nas X before his song “Old Town Road” became popular. I know I never did. However, since its release, the song has become one of the most popular of the year. With the original version reaching number 1 on the Billboard’s Hot 100 charts, he became the first rapper with Lil in his name to accomplish this. Since the remix features Billy Ray Cyrus, the song is even better, adding more country elements but also having Cyrus spitting some fire bars.

ScHoolboy Q and Travis Scott- CHopstix

Although the chorus of this song is just one word, I find myself replaying it over and over again. Travis Scott is so melodic, you just can keep yourself away. With strong verses from ScHoolboy Q, this is a must listen to if you’re a fan of new trap rap.

Anderson.Paak- Make It Better (Featuring Smokey Robinson)

Anderson.Paak is in his element right now. This song comes from his upcoming album Ventura which releases April 12. His raspy voice is so smoothing and reminds me more of an old jazz song than an R&B song. If you want a song that gives you good vibes while also putting you in a thinking mood, I highly recommend this song.

Rich The Kid- Fall Threw (Featuring Young Thug and Gunna)

The production on this song is phenomenal. The beat fits the style of both Young Thug and Gunna, and Rich The Kid fits in perfectly. This song is a song you can listen to get hyped with your friends or get you energized for the day.
